Moniruzzaman is an experienced electrical engineer with over two decades of hands-on expertise in power systems, high-voltage equipment, and industrial maintenance. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET) and a Diploma in Electrical Technology from Bangladesh Sweden Polytechnic Institute, Kaptai. His professional journey includes advanced technical training and assignments in Japan, Germany, China, and India. Inspired by his early exposure to hydropower at Kaptai—and building upon the historical vision of Girard (1799) and Cabanyes (1895)—he developed a novel wave energy concept, the Two-Phase System. This approach revives the forgotten idea of pumping water with waves and then generating electricity via hydropower turbines, making it simple, scalable, and reliable. His models and research have received international recognition for their sustainability, including awards and acknowledgments from the Energy Globe Foundation and the Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition. Moniruzzaman has also published an eBook and several academic papers presenting practical designs of wave-powered systems. He is passionate about clean energy innovation and envisions renewable energy as a practical and accessible solution for vulnerable and climate-threatened communities worldwide.
